Getting older is an inevitable process for all people. However, there is nothing common between the stories told by different generations. The elderly usually have calm mornings, routine habits, beautiful memories, and a splendid sense of humor which appears as a result of their experience. There are lots of women in elderly age who develop great skills to see the amusing side of various life situations and not get angry and upset about them. This includes forgetting why you have entered a room, sleeping much longer than expected or simply saying amusing things which make other people smile.
Joy of Growing Older
I decided to take my inspiration for creating comics about elderly ladies when I had an idea of how a cheerful retirement complex should look like. It would include numerous active women who were not able to get tired from life and did not accept old age. They spent afternoons together drinking tea and coffee and telling amusing stories about usual life situations which somehow became incredible. They never complained because everything was funny. When I created these illustrations, I wanted to give each lady her own personality, clothing, facial expressions, place where she lives and her personal motto.
